The trade show. organized by the National Association of Broadcasters, features a huge expo floor and schedule of panels. Pro tip: It is pretty easy to get a free exhibits pass!
Since we’ve been running our podcast studio we’ve wanted to return to the NAB show; the last time we went was in 2010 when we were still working in the local broadcast news industry.
Saying Thanks to the Rode Team
Part of our mission was to visit with companies that help us do what we do and express to them our appreciation. Our first chance to do this was when we stopped to talk to the team at Rode. We got to tell them how we have used their mics and rodecasters to help dozens of podcasters tell their stories! Surprisingly, we came away with new gear to incorporate into our studio:

We also got to visit with the team at Riverside.FM! Their online recording studio has been a vital tool for our studio, helping our podcasters connect with guests around the world!
Topping off the great experience, Margie stopped at the ZHIYUN-TECH booth to share that she’s made good use of her gimbal for the last 6 years and a funny story of how she broke the tripod attachment while out in a field (it got stepped on, lol). That’s when they handed her the piece right off one of the demo pieces and let her have it! Amazing customer service and great gear!
Overall the NAB Show is a great experience for any level of podcaster, content creator, filmmaker, or broadcaster! We are already looking forward to making plans to go next year and take advantage of some of the learning tracks!
